Multiple Opponent’s – Street Fight Analysis

An intriguing situation I witnessed on the road

In this article, we’re going to do a 3 vs 2 street fight analysis. The purpose is to guide you on what to do if you’re ever involved in a similar situation.  Plus, make sure to watch our multiple opponent’s – street fight analysis on YouTube.

I analyze what apparently started as a road-rage incident. On one side were three young teenagers who were attacking two older men. The older men were in a defensive mode at first. That wasn’t the case with the over-enthusiastic teenagers, who were clearly in a mood to fight.

At the start of the fight, the teenagers had the upper hand. However, the situation changed quickly when one of the older adults got an axe from somewhere (probably his car’s trunk). This forced the teenagers to flee the scene, letting the situation cool down.

By the way, here’s how you can learn all about weapon defense such as axe defense.

Check out this video before moving ahead. This will help you understand my analysis better.

3 vs 2 Street Fight Analysis

There are three lessons that can be learned from this fight.

Lesson # 1: Whenever possible, avoid a fight

After gaining the upper hand early on in the fight, the teenagers were running (probably for their lives) when they saw their opponent wielding an axe. After they fled the scene, the older guy ended up vandalizing one of the cars on the road with the weapon.

This shows that both parties could have been better off had they not let the road-rage incident get to their heads. Especially the older guy. He destroyed a car’s rear lights as well as its trunk and was caught on camera. Something tells me that police might have knocked on his door.

That isn’t to let the teenagers off the hook. Sure, they had their way early on in the fight. But if the older adult (the one who didn’t have the axe) helped his colleague when the latter had the weapon, we might be talking about injuries here.

So, they were lucky that one of their opponents was cool-headed.

Lesson # 2: When facing multiple attackers, footwork is crucial

The only reason the older adults didn’t get knocked out in the first half of the fight was because they had excellent footwork. Both of them were really quick with their feet. This helped them stay clear from getting in a position where they’d come in the range of their attackers.

Therefore, if you’re ever facing multiple attackers, make sure to be quick with your feet.

Another thing you’d want to do is to face the attackers at all times, even when you’re backing off, while keeping your hands in a defensive posture. Keeping your hands up will let you deflect the attacks coming your way.

Lesson # 3: Use a shield to protect yourself

In the final few seconds of the video, one of the teenagers used a parked car as a shield against the older adult wielding the axe. That probably saved his life. The car allowed him to create a distance between himself and the attacker, preventing the latter from launching a controlled attack.

Keep in mind that we aren’t talking about ducking behind a shield here. While standing or sitting behind a shield, you need to have a clear view of the attacker. That is what the teenager did. Otherwise, you’re giving the attacker the opportunity to catch you off-guard.

So, I hope you enjoyed this fight analysis as much as I enjoyed doing it.
