Be prepared to face a gun attack
Gun attacks are one of the most dangerous attacks you can be in. Being faced with an attacker that has a weapon is tricky situation. So, this is why I’ll cover self defense tips when facing a gun attack.
Firstly, one of the most important things to remember in any gun attack situation is if you see a fight happening involving a gun, you want to get out of there as quickly as possible. By staying there, you’re putting yourself at risk of getting injured.
Gun attacks happen quickly. You often have no time to react before the person takes out their weapon and starts aiming it at you or shooting.
This is where being alert is crucial. You always need to be aware of your surrounding and be alert about what’s happening around you.
While many self-defense videos will show gun attacks as being with the person holding the gun to your head and you disarming them rather easily, it’s rare that gun attacks happen this way.
If you look online at real gun attacks, the person holding the gun is always moving. They’re not staying in one place and they keep moving the gun in different directions. This makes it extremely difficult for you to trap the gun and disarm them.
If the person hasn’t started shooting you yet, this means there is still hope. Don’t forget, if the person wanted to shoot you, they would have done it already. That’s why you need to do whatever it takes to get yourself out of this situation.
Here are live self defense tips when facing a gun attack:
Use verbal defense tactics against someone holding a gun
The best way to do that is by talking. You want to use communication and verbally let your attacker know that you want to be as cooperative as possible.
Consequently, agree to their demands and give whatever it is they are asking for. This is your chance to verbally talk yourself out of a dangerous situation.
