Rising UK Stabbing Attacks

People being attacked with a knife in UK are increasing

These are sad news reported from the UK. Indeed, facing a person coming at you with a blade is not something fun at all. In this article, we discuss the rising UK stabbing attacks and what you can do about it to protect yourself.

The London attacks who were made using vehicle as weapon are terrible. In these past two events, 8 people have lost their lives with more than 58 injured. The first London Bridge attack occurred on June 3rd 2017.

This event created chaos in the city of London, as people were getting stabbed by three different assailants simultaneously.

From what the reports mention, the victims were caught off guard while they were eating at a restaurant near the London Bridge.

Sadly, the attackers decided to take on random people. They were looking to stab as many people as they could, it was a real carnage.

The second attack occurred once again in London on June 19th, when a man with a van hit pedestrians. He also exited his van and started stabbing innocent people as well.

Always be prepared to use knife defense

These sad events brings us to think and remember that we need to be prepared to protect ourselves at all times. We truly never know when someone will decide to attack.

Therefore, it’s crucial to learn a reality based self defense system that will be effective when a life threatening situation occurs.

A good reality based self defense system should include an effective knife defense training that covers everything from static attacks to full blown stabbing attacks.

The best way to simulate stabbing attacks is to use rubber knives and/or crayon markers.

With the markers, you can simulate slashing and stabbing attacks and see what would have been the outcome if this was a real fight.

It’s important to prepare and train in advance to know how to react prior and during a knife attack.

If you do train your knife defense skills, your fear will slowly go away and you will feel confident that you can survive such a brutal attack.

Grab your courage, your will to train and practice a few knife defense drills and scenarios with a training partner. You will be glad you did.

Here’s a great drill to start with: Knife Defense Parrying and Striking Drill.

Stay safe,
