Lucky Guy – His Attacker Stopped Fighting

Always be prepared to defend yourself

So, before we go on with a fight analysis, you’ll see that as a common point of self defense, you should always fight back if attacked. The man in the video, is a lucky guy – his attacker stopped fighting.

First off, when we think about being attacked, most of us assume and think that it’s going to be by a complete stranger. Rare are the people who can envision being attacked by someone they already know.

This is probably what an auto shop owner considered, when he was confronted by one of his employees. I’m saying that because, if he thought he had been attacked by his employee, he wouldn’t have turned his back on him.

Before I go on with the breakdown of this fight, it’s important to always keep in mind that if someone is upset at you and a heated argument is taking place between you and a person, you need to be on high alert for an incoming strike and attack.

It doesn’t matter who the person is, you need to be in high alert, in “code red” at all times. You need to be ready for anything. It’s also important to say that you should be trying to defuse a fight at all times.

Always use verbal defense to defuse a fight

So, you want to avoid fighting and avoid getting the person more angry at you.

You can use verbal de-escalation tactics to help you defuse the situation.

Now, about the video, it’s seems to be a story about an auto shop repair owner who gets punched and beaten up after he allegedly tried to “screw over” one of his employees.

Now, I’m not here to determine who’s right and who’s wrong. I’m here to analyze the fight that went on and how it could have been avoided.

First off, when someone is threatening you and being aggressive towards you, even if he’s just talking but seems really upset, you need to be ready at all times and adopt a non-threatening fighting stance.

You need to be ready and never turn your back to that person. Let’s say everything fails and you do get assaulted, you need to fight back and defend yourself effectively.

You need to put your hands up and move accordingly by using tactical footwork principles to gain an advantage over your opponent. In a self-defense situation, you should be striking your opponent where it counts.

You can see in the video clip, lying on the floor and covering your face, is really not the best place to be.

In fact, it’s probably one of the worst place to be in a fight. If you end up in that situation, you should try to get back on your feet as quickly as possible.
