Self defense tips for the ground
Here’s an important statement about self-defense. Make sure you’re reading it attentively. One of the last things you want to happen during a fight is ending up on the ground. Furthermore, here are ground fighting tips against a larger attacker.
By hitting the ground, you’ll give your attacker the perfect opportunity to stomp and trap you there. Ground fighting is a last resort when it comes to wanting to fight off your attacker.
Therefore, if you take the fight with the intention of ending up on the floor, you will be at a significant disadvantage. This is even more so if your attacker is lager than you since he can easily use his weight and strength to keep you down and seriously hurt you.
Avoid hitting the ground in a street fight
The most important reason why you don’t want to go to the ground is because of potential people jumping in a multiple attacker’s situation.
Nevertheless, if you do end up on the ground, there are still a few steps you can do to help you out in this situation. The first thing you want to do is bent your knee and have your other leg tucked in.
Additionally, keep your arms in front of you to protect your face and upper body from brutal punches and kicks.
Afterwards, once your position is set, you can start kicking your attacker in the shins to keep him off of you as much as you can. That will also distract your assailant to make your next move.
If your attacker manages to get closer to you to hit you or grab one of your legs, you need to start hitting him with your other leg to push him off of you. As soon as you can, trying using the tactical get-up strategy to be back on your feet swiftly.

Remember, your main goal is to stay up and finish the threat. Do whatever means necessary so you can escape the situation with as little to no injury.
